:: The Car Lot ::
I can't sleep now, so I guess I'll talk about boring stuff here =) So class, I shall talk to you all about my view on how the universe works. Lets all begin from the basics. The basic building blocks of everything we see and know. I believe that the universe is nothing more than a big group of particles. We can even relate them as just sub atomic balls bouncing around the universe. The Universe truly is a strange place, as we can see that in this big group of particles, life is present. To us, the universe is truly a spectacle to behold, with beautiful galaxies and systems that take our breathe away every time we see these majestic celestial objects. To the universe however, its just a giant group of particles held close together by their own gravity, and moving according to the laws of physics. Thus beauty I feel is nothing to the universe. How that the basics are covered, I shall talk about my doubts to how people work. Is it true that our feelings are truly unique and special? I feel not. Our mind I think is governed mainly by our subconscious. If we were to look at all the things we do, it all boils down to the same thing, an easier life. Feelings are always said as a complex thing to describe, but i feel its not. Our minds are always really easily controlled by our surroundings. Our moods play a very important role in this. Music for one can easily manipulate our thoughts, often sending us into a slight trance evertime its played. Thus i think that our feelings are nothing more than a mixture of hormones which our bodies send our in different situations, thus affecting our mood. We can see this manipulation of our way of thinking everywhere, sending out bodies into trances and causing us to change our mindsets. Adverts especially has a lot of these. Their smart method of camera skills, choice of music, etc all make a very wonderful experience, as they manipulate our thoughts to think that their products are a cut above the rest. So are we really in full control of our minds? Honestly, I think not. But still emotions play in important role in everything Next I shall talk about the universe as whole. The universe described in general relativity can be seen as a sheet, where the objects with more mass make a larger dimple into the sheet. Everything that has mass makes a dimple on the fabric of the universe and causes it to expand ever so slightly in it. If we were to use this to see how gravity works, we can see that the more massive object with the larger making the larger "dimple" or depression in the fabric of space will cause the other objects to fall into it, thus, gravity. The same thing can also be seen in time, where time slows down in a more massive object. We can also have a simple representation for this. Much like space, time is also a sheet, just that there are grids drawn onto it, and that the sheet is infinitely long and is constantly moving in one direction in a uniform speed. Now, imagine if we were to stretch the sheet, the distance between the two ends in a grid will be separated further apart. Thus if a more massive object were to be on this sheet, we can see that the depression that it makes on the sheet will cause the grid on the sheet to be more distant from one another, thus time slows down. Using the representation, we can see this as an object causing a dimple on the sheet and stretching the fabric, and since the grid is stretched longer relatively to the other grids on the sheet, it takes a longer time to clear a point. Thus time is longer. Prove, the satelites outside of earth experience time faster than that of earth. Ok, I'm done with spouting all my nonsense out =) have fun trying to understand all this =D ( that means you kyanta ) Cheuck Left The Car Lot at 12:21 AM *** |
